Phase 1 ESAs are typically performed to assess the potential for release of a hazardous substance or petroleum and to identify recognized environmental conditions at a subject property. We perform our ESAs using American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) Standard E1527-2005 for All Appropriate Inquiry (AAI). We have conducted ESA’s on industrial, commercial, agricultural, and educational facilities. When additional investigation is needed after completion of a Phase I survey, O’Rourke works with Professional Geologists to perform Phase II ESAs. Phase II ESAs may include environmental sampling, geophysical surveys, test pits and soil vapor sampling. Phase II ESAs are designed on a case by case basis to determine the nature and extent of contamination.
